Personally I couldn't turn up for work and do a good job knowing I'm being shafted on rate. Just take out a bounce back loan, enjoy the summer off, work on the plan B, learn something new and put yourself in a position to capitalise on the market when it recovers. In short, don't take it up the arse.

Originally posted by hairymouseI just can't see taking out a loan for living expenses, and then what happens when the market recovers but we are back to where we were in November, December and January where no contracts were getting done because of IR35? Those days are coming back with a vengence and extra tax on the top.
I've done it now, accepted a permie role at a salary I would have laughed at 6 months ago. I'm still in shock, literally don't know what to do with myself.Comment

At the moment do what you need to as we are in the middle of a once in a generation event. Not to be confused with the previous once in a generation event 12 years ago.Comment
