Agency prank calls?

I know that this is what matters - however I do feel that I am left with no choices. If I ask them if they have a role in mind all they say is 'yes, but first I need to see what experience you have'. And what can I do against this? Should I hang up the phone? Should I be rude with them? I know what my interests are, but at the same time I have to rely on agents - so I can't afford being rude.

One thing I decided: I will not answer hidden numbers ever again. If they really have a job at hand that might be suitable, they will call me from their mobile anyway.

Just tell them that you're busy and they've rung you, presumably about a position. Once they've got the interview sorted out for you, you'll be happy to go into more detail. Turn it round - ask for a job spec so that you can highlight the most relevant parts of your experience for them.

It seems now that as the new FY is starting suddenly there are more contracts. I've been put forward to 2 specialist roles just today, and my CV ticks all the boxes. Again, the question is whether I get an interview invitation. I've been at this point so many times, being positive because I knew that my CV was with the client, and then heard back nothing.

I keep on blocking the indian ones, now I have at least 20 numbers starting with 020, that are actually indian companies. I even started getting marketing calls from web developers in India, the same way. "Sir we make you a very nice website sir."

Just had a call from an Ireland number, Indian lass on speakerphone with all sorts of racket going on the background, as soon as she mentioned 'Wipro' I bade my farewells and hung up.....

The problem with these calls is that they are making the life of genuine indian-british fellas working in the UK much harder. (I have nothing to do with the region, I'm from a european country.)
I would not be worried about the accent if I didn't have the preconcept that almost all calls with indian accents are from clueless Indian call centers. These Indian call centers are floodin us with so many pointless time wasting calls, that we end up ignoring all calls with the accent alltogether.
I'm just saying this because I did talk to a recruiter guy with the accent the other day, and he was living in the UK, his companies reception switched me to his desk immediately when I called him back. Also, I'm not surprised that they change their name once they get a passport.

It's nothing like that. They also know my email address, as at the same time they can send me fake roles to collect my updated CV, just to update their database.
I've had a chat with a honest recruiter the other day, he told me that I should start the naturalisation process asap to become a British citizen. Having lived in the UK for 10+ years, working in the top tech industry, suddenly this started to matter more than my experience. Of course this may well just be a speculation. He didn't go into details why, but he definitely thought that this would be a good idea. Unfortunately that process takes months even if I started now, and I can't afford being unemployed for that long.

Aw Come on! You have been here 10+years and never started the naturalisation process? It has mattered more and more each year you have been here and should have been a priority for you if you want to make a life in UK/Europe. If you are still allowed to work here why would processing naturalisation suddenly become an obstacle?

Maybe the OP has a citizenship that doesn't allow dual nationality and doesn't want to lose it?

Depending on the country of the passport there is clearly no need to.
