I'm more curious as to why they felt that they couldn't work with someone else.
Maybe the other guy kept trying to lead him into a life of crime by insisting he helped himself to any office equipment that was 'lying around on the floor'

D&C a definite issue there.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist
Thank you all for you input. I think NorthernLad hit the nail on the head about the signed time sheet dependency. Thank you.
Though some other peoples comments and one from NorthenrLad are a bit ' interesting'!
Thinking you can get 4 weeks free money for welching on a gig is just.... mehhhhhhh
I was merely asking, not expecting.
Unprofessional was another
Name and Shame myself Solidarity brothers!
I take it you are all happy to be in contracts were you are spoken to like dog sh!t by 'colleagues' and given unrealistic requirements in unrealistic timelines. This gig was not like the 'tin said' an my days of been treated like sh!t in exchange for a day rate are behind me. And yes I did address with with the Senior LT etc.
I am professional enough that I don't need to print the Name of the Employer and the bitchy facts, but nor do I put money over self respect.

I was tongue in cheek with the name and shame - what was the unreasonable requirement?

Well... you were looking to make a claim for work you didn't do because you didn't want to. I.e. you were looking for some contract loophole to allow you to do what would have amounted to theft.
Last year I had a contract with a company. After a few days I told the boss I could not work with person x and the boss told me 'the only thing he can do here is end the agreement' and I will be paid for what I have done (which was a few days).
My contract states that I would be given 4 weeks notice which obviously I wasn't,
Do I have a case to seek 4 weeks of my day rate?
Thanks all
plot twist:
company is Real Madrid Club de Futbol
CheshireBoy is Rafael Benitez
person x is Cristiano Ronaldo
