Am on 4 day WFH at the moment and 1 day per week at client's client side, have not been in an actual office of my client at all not even for interview. Have only see my "manager" once.
Pro: mileage in leased car won't go over the 25k per year limit as I feared or at least not as much as I feared.
I like to believe this is good for IR35 as virtual no control
    Sex during lunch break
Con: Wife expects me to bring and pick up kids from their schools so she can wash her hair in the morning and cook tea in the PM.

WFH here. I did okay for the first month, though I feel it's becoming a bit more of a struggle now. I have the spare room as an office and only go in to work, but then with the whole internet and nobody looking over your shoulder it's easy to get distracted (like this thread). Also as a sad singleton I can spend the whole week with zero human contact if I'm not careful. I make a point of going out to get lunch, and if I'm not doing anything else I'll go to the pub at the end of the day and read the paper just for a change of scenery. One big pro is being able to listen to internet radio / music; I never like wearing headphones and hate working in silence.

Makes for very low expenses. Insurance and bank charges is all I have.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Correct, the point of getting out and about, for a change of scenery is extremely important.

Now if she did the business 6 days of the week, I'd be happy for her to take the day off! So she could do the housework anyway.

                  +1

I made a point of going to the gym twice a week at lunch times when I was on full time home working gigs.

                    My 2p

I've been WFH for the last 4.5 years and love it. Compared with staying away a week at a time in hotels, it's a complete no-brainer for me.

The points about interruptions at home are valid, but I bet I'd have got even more interruptions working in an office (e.g. chats about what was on the box last night).

Some people ask whether I'm lonely, but my role entails many calls per day and loads of IMing, so I never feel that I'm isolated.

The flexibility is great. I do sometimes do the laundry or load the dish washer while waiting for the kettle to brew or take a couple of hours for lunch, but then I'm still checking e-mails etc into the evening, so it evens out. As long as the work gets done, the client is happy.

Long may it continue, as far as I am concerned, especially with the proposed travel expenses issue.

I was soooo happy when they told me on my current gig I could wfh Fridays if I wanted to. Now I hardly ever do, generally only when I'm having something repaired/delivered.

Too many distractions. I was taking sneaky looks at 'Don't get Done, Get Dom' , constantly checking out what was the in fridge (same thing that was in there 10 minutes ago) and reading the Mail Online.

It's a side of me I'm not proud of, so I'm better off in the office.
