My German colleagues used gulp.de and monster.de, though I never got a contract through them. I have had contracts from People At Work Systems www.paw-systems.com. I would recommend them and several of my German contractor colleagues have spoken well of them too.

Many UK agencies have contracts in Germany too.

Second that. I forgot it, but most of the Germans who contact me do it through Xing.

I've got contracts here via Gulp (I have the paid for bit which gets me notifications earlier and by SMS plus has some other added benefits) also from Xing and Linkedin. The majority though come through consultancies, software houses and other such companies. There are also plenty of other websites such as freelancer.de, jobserve.de, etc. which have plenty of contracts on them. Google.de is your friend, such for 'it freelancer'
