    Sorting out the contract - agencies low priority!

    Completely does my head in.

    Agencies think contract offer is there - ok you can start now. The actual contact seems to be lower priority than sorting out their sock drawer for them!

    Not the first time and Im sure everyone has had it. Friday before monday start and contract is still not finalised. To be fair, they agreed to some changes following review (although, as always, they moaned about that) but its now taken 3 days for them to properly incorporate these changes. Last amendment had so many mistakes in it it looks like my 10- year old had done it.

    Have to tell them now to pull their finger out, do it properly, check it before they send it to me again or they risk delaying the start on monday.

    I guess Im not alone with this one?

    Nothing new to that scenario in my book either, my current role lost a day, the previous one a week due to the contract T&C debate, just make sure the client knows the cause.

      Nope.

      I've made agencies pull their finger out by telling them that I will just inform the client why I can't start. 9 times out of 10 it's the actual agent not their boss, who approves the changes, who causes the delay.
