which website gets most of the jobs other than jobserve?

    Hi

I normally use jobserve and cwjobs for finding contracts.

I can see less contracts on jobserve now days and wondering which other sites do agents use.

    thanks in advance

Christ, why not? It's a perfectly reasonable question!

As it happens, I don't know the answer, as I've not looked for a gig in some time, but back when I was still looking, Jobserve and LinkedIn would be my main port of call.

More and more, I'd be hitting LinkedIn these days. Also - and I know this is strange - Twitter.

Theitjobboard is also a useful site.

Re. linkedin, and I read this a lot about how people manage to get contracts through this, but how exactly is this being done ? I have an established profile but cannot see how I can find a role through this - I know I am missing something obvious here, can someone please explain (and also feel free to call me a dumb t*rd as well if needs be...)

Individual networking is how I've found my last three years of work.

Current one was aided by saying on LinkedIn the I was looking for work.

I find it hard to actually search for contracts on LinkedIn, the only way it helps me is agents contacting me through LinkedIn. This can be encouraged by saying your available for new contracts (make sure your messages are being broadcasted) this always results in a number of agencies calling me and has led to an offer in one or two cases.

Jobserve seems to be lesser what it was but still has a good alert system. Also worth using Technojobs as they have a good bulk of agencies on their site.

I always found I got most contact from agents via jobsite although the search function isnt \ wasnt as good as jobswerve.

Despite having nearly 200 LI contacts and attempting to help others find roles, only 1 person in all the 5 years I used LI actually tried to help find me work.

Id say you best bet is to use all routes ie jobswerve, facebook, twitter etc and phone the agents.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!
