    Uk limited company turnover

    Hi,

I warned a one year contract with a UK engineering agency and I have UK Ltd company with UK bank account.

I worked first in London during 4 months for another UK agency, but I'm french, living in France and the next role is sitting in Paris for a french client.

What's the solution concerning the invoice included VAT and the turnover ?
I send my invoice to the UK agency included VAT and the turnover is for my UK company, is it possible or not?

Thanks for your fast response and your recommendations

Basically a UK LtdCo invoicing a UK Agency so yes VAT need to be added to the rate assuming you are VAT registered make sure your VAT number on your invoices, most agency would ask for this up front so SURRENDER the details when asked.

Have a look at the links on the right "VAT / Flat Rate VAT" ------------->

The services would be provided in a foreign location, though, so wouldn't necessarily be subject to UK VAT.

Best bet is to ring the VAT helpline and ask them, since they will be in a better position than our guesses. Try to get a name or a reference number, though, so if they are wrong you have the evidence of why you did it wrong.

I did know an English Contractor who lived in France

His company was French but his contracts were all in UK

The UK tax authorities left him alone as it was a French company

The French authorities left him alone as all his work was in UK

Not sure if he is still getting away with it
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
