    Which jobsites do you use?

    Hi All,

Through a combination of networking, spending time on my knees and a bit of luck, I've not had to search and apply for a job for around 4 years. Sadly that run is coming to an end.

Jobserve used to be my go to, but it seems to have been 'updated' and not in an alltogether good way.

I know the facility on CUK looks at Jobserve and Technojobs, but just wondered what other sites people think highly of?

(I do BA / Business Change type stuff on IT and transformation programmes)

    Try CWjobs and JobSite?

In reality, is it really a need to try new sites?
How is your CV looking? Have you been uploading it to these sites and marking it as searchable? Do you re-upload it frequently (e.g. weekly)?
You're already using LinkedIn and keeping your profile and status updated right?
Have you checked ITJobsWatch for demand for your job title and skills? (note that the data comes from job boards, so if your skills are unadvertised market this may not be very useful)

+ 1 for jobsite - particularly for non-IT (and about half of my business is non-IT transformation).

Not really, just wondered which sites had gone in and out of fashion.

The CV will be tested shortly, Linkedin has been useful in the past few years.

Good tip on ITJons Watch - thanks, I'll get onto this

I only use jobserve but I find their mobile app easier to use than the website.

I've got multiple filters on jobserve, with alerts setup.
Once you land a gig, just disable the alerts.
Before your current gig finishes, re-enable the alerts, log in and change the status to "I'm looking" (or whatever it is).
I use the jobserve app on the phone, plus the Indeed app because it remembers what you've already seen.
I get a few calls from agents that trawl jobsite, so that's more reactive than the other two proactive sites I like to use.
Don't believe it, until you see it!
