Similar with M&S stores in RoI. So they have additional stock for their GB stores (although I'd be surprised if NI + RoI is >5% of their food business.

M&S shelves in Lucan Co. Dublin. Another small hit to UK exports (which is weird, because Brexit was going to get rid of red tape!)

The original post was for the UK as a whole, not specifically NI or IRE, both of which are in the Single Market. I thought Brexit was supposed to cause food shortages in the UK, not the EU. Perhaps you need to ask Barnier why Ireland has been left with empty shelves following his magnificent deal...

If it's for the UK as a whole, then surely it applies to NI. If there are shortages in NI, then there are shortages in the UK.

Empty M&S shelves in RoI are fine. People will just use an Irish based retailer. Shame about the hit to the UK economy though.

Boris Johnson gave himself the job of Minster for the Union. You know the Union must be in trouble when that happens. It's like having a Minister for Food Supply.
