Meat
“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.” -
And the majority of livestock farmers voted for Brexit and voted Tory. Not only that, even after the 2016 vote, they carried on supporting Brexit and the Tories Knowing full well it will be a disaster.
No deal Brexit will be very tough for the consumers, but be that as it may."A people that elect corrupt politicians, imposters, thieves and traitors are not victims, but accomplices," George Orwell -

You know the reason for that is that they incurred disproportionate costs of meeting EU regulations relative to any subsidies they received (or, in many cases, didn't). UK consumers could well benefit from reduced costs, once the farmers have recouped some of their long-term losses.Originally posted by Paddy View PostAnd the majority of livestock farmers voted for Brexit and voted Tory. We won't have long to find out I guess. We import a lot of meat, we export a lot of meat. I guess the dynamic might change and we end up eating locally. Perhaps the costs will rise overall, but the benefit might be healthier people. Let's face it, meat is for the rich.First Law of Contracting: Only the strong surviveComment

Except we wont. Brexit will end the UK fishing industry if there isn't completely tariff and NTB free access to EU markets for UK fishermen. They, like farmers, can't see past the end of their own noses.Originally posted by clearedforlanding View PostWe will compensate with fish. When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment
