So still stuck being a grammar Nazi then, with no real opinion.

Getting roughly back to the point (PGI) you’ll probably have a seizure when American made Scotch Whiskey is being imported.

      USA choose the Irish spelling.
Can confirm Nikka, it sits as whisky alongside a Balvenie and Glendronach on my shelf.

Unlike the Red Spot and 15-yo Temple Bar (2018 best Irish Single Malt) whiskey that sits next to them.

I prefer to care about what’s in the bottle though, than the spelling outside of it. ;-)

Grammar has nothing to do with the errors that you have made. The root cause was your ignorance of facts.

Given the way that you’ve been triggered, I’ll know where to keep the standards next time.

Careful you don’t slip over, with that thin skin you’ve got. You might get a scratch.

So your tactic is to resort to accusing someone of "being triggered" when they point out how much of a thick twunt you are?

The answer is simple, if you know nothing about a topic then don't post. Otherwise your ignorance is there for all to see.

Although you haven't told why he is wrong, so come on then, step up to the plate and give us the benefit of your superior intellect...

He knows why he was wrong. Judging by your post you're in agreement.

Perhaps this will provide a clue.

                  It's the same ******* word:

This difference in the spelling comes from the translations of the word from the Scottish and Irish Gaelic forms.

I'm sure the Irish and Scots distilleries are in total agreement with you.

Still waiting for the definitive answer, that is unless you don't have one which is the probable answer....
