That's the rest of Europe voting for Brexit. We're the Millwall of Europe - no-one likes us, we don't care.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostOh dear...

Really? That must explain why the public gave the UK 3 points but Germany 0 points....Originally posted by Mordac View PostThat's the rest of Europe voting for Brexit. We're the Millwall of Europe - no-one likes us, we don't care.

FTFY. Only applies to Millwall and Eurovision in this context. Any extrapolation to Brexit and the whole of the UK is up to you...Originally posted by Mordac View PostThat's the rest of Europe voting for Brexit. We're the Millwall of Europe - we’re tulip, we don't care.

No, it proves that the German song was tulip, even the German press said they would probably come last before the contest although apparently it wasn't as tulip as the UK...Originally posted by Mordac View PostAll that proves is that ze Germans are even less popular than us Brits (or that there are enough patriotic ex-pats who were happy to throw us a bone, which we frankly didn't deserve).“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

There were plenty of crap songs in the running to win towards the end of the voting, but since the whole voting process is highly political, the level of crapness is slightly irrelevant. I agree that the German song descended into new levels of crapness though.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostNo, it proves that the German song was tulip, even the German press said they would probably come last before the contest although apparently it wasn't as tulip as the UK...His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...Comment

I think you'll find that the jury vote tends to be a bit political as that explains Greece and Cyprus giving each other 12 points and the same goes for Russia and Azerbaijan but the actual public vote isn't really, it's more on what the general public like. It's quite interesting that if it was only on the public vote, Norway would have wonOriginally posted by Mordac View PostThere were plenty of crap songs in the running to win towards the end of the voting, but since the whole voting process is highly political, the level of crapness is slightly irrelevant.
