Yes sad nobody cares about basic fundamental things, people/media/politicians take basic things like food and medicines are granted. I am worried to teach lesson International Investors could withdraw trillion of dollar of assets and Sterling can lose 50% of it's value. The economy is standing on Sterling's purchasing power, if Sterling lose it's value, then only there will be a huge 'reality shock' and basic things like food/medicines will come into people' consciousness. People otherwise continue living in a fake reality popped up by Media houses...

Ireland will never agree to a border.

The EU believe they can force Ireland to build a wall.

I deliberately didn't say that they would agree to one.

It will be interesting to see the attitude of the EU towards Ireland when they refuse.

It's the British border in Ireland, there are two sides in the equation. It will be interesting to see the attitudes of (eg) the USA to the UK not securing it's borders.

I don't think the UK will care as they don't want a return to the troubles. Neither does Ireland.

                    The EU does not care.

                      Unprovable.

Nobody wants a return to the Troubles, but your sole argument is that this is Ireland's problem. There are two sides to a border, and the UK not securing it's side opens the UK up to other potential issues also.
