I don't believe in tariff free unicorn trade with Narnia. Maybe I should be more imaginative.

Gaslighting again. Where did he say that he didn’t like it here?

(BTW, that’s usually the way that fascists shut down arguments that they don’t like.
He lives here. He pays taxes here. He’s entitled to an opinion.)

Churchy has anger issues. He can't help it.

Could say the same to you .... why don't you go live in a southern US state, they have the same xenophobe views as you. You'll fit in well

They would have to be antisemites for it to work for churchy.

Remember the trade deficit in bedtime stories. British expats need our comfort blankets and bedtime stories more than we need theirs.

Playing devil's advocate, I've been scratching my head trying to think of the positives of leaving.

But I can only think of removing some of the negatives of being a member.

Like not being subject to stupid rules. For example, every horse in this country has to have a passport whether they travel outside the UK or not. Apparently, it stems from the French eating horse meat.

Actually it's not just the French but is the passport a bad thing? After the 29 March, UK horse owners can just throw them away...

The passport legislation is an EU Directive, so therefore the United Kingdom (UK) must comply. The purpose of horse passports is to protect the human food chain and to ensure that no horses that are treated with certain drugs, for example Bute, are slaughtered for human consumption.
Within the EU, horsemeat is commonly eaten and horses from the UK can end up in the human food chain. It is important that the UK complies with the legislation as failure to do so could result in the withdrawal of a number of key equine medicines from sale.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

You need to think about it more like this (something a lot of you should relate to)

You live in your mums basement - you pay rent for that and in return you get some stuff - however there are rules which you have to abide by (such as you have to go to church on a sunday and you can only have 1 friend over at once and your mum must 'vat them) - now because it is all you know you think that the money you pay is worth the return you get and you do not really see the rules because they have always been there.

Unfortunately your mum dies and you inherit the house - this means that you do need to pay more for the upkeep and bills and all that - and also sadly your mum is no longer there to cook your tea and wash your socks so all looks roomy and gloomy

But then as you walk into your new house and realise that you can sit in your pants watching tv and drinking beer at 11 am 0 if you want.

And you no longer need to go to church - which you never enjoyed but went to keep your mum happy.

So initially it is all a bit scary and money is tight - but as you slowly realise the only thing stopping you from doing whatever you want is you, you start to branch out.

And then what happens is you start to have more than 1 friend over and nobody gets to 'vet' them - this leads to some interesting experiences and opens you up to the possibilities of things you never dreamed of.

You still put some flowers on Mum's grave each your because you realise she did love you and she always wanted to keep you safe but she never understood that for you to truly achieve your potential you needed to be unshackled and stand on your own two feet.

Where do just in time manufacturing supply chains fit into this analogy?
