    Brexit fiasco prediction thread

So we're into the final furlong of the disaster that is Brexit.

    What will be the outcome?

    • Agreement voted down in the HOC, May resigns and another referendum is held, this cancels Brexit and Labour take a large majority after a snap GE.
    • Agreement voted down in the HOC, No Deal happens and we crash out of Europe into a decade of recession.

You’re not believing in Britain hard enough.

After a lot of horse trading and discussion, the Withdrawal Agreement will pass the HoC. We exit the EU on 29th March, and Brits will lose their freedom of movement two years later.

Any new trade deal will take minimum 4-6 years to negotiate, from a starting position of the frictionless trade that we currently have it will take that long to negotiate and introduce the trade barriers required to make the U.K. an independent third country.

      Should probably add:

Although the WA still requires ratification by the EU member states, it’s by a qualified majority so should go through on their side.

The future trade agreement, however, requires unanimity and any member state can veto it. Good thing we’ve been very diplomatic over the last two years and burned no goodwill with Ireland, Spain, Germany, Poland.....
