TVR has blamed Brussels bureaucracy for delays to the sports carmaker’s
ambitious revival plans and dismissed speculation that its vehicles may never hit the road.
A consortium of investors led by millionaire chairman Les Edgar is attempting to bring the carmaker back to life with taxpayer backing.
TVR had planned to start building its first batch of 500 cars at a new factory in South Wales by the end of the year.
However, this has being pushed back to next summer because of what the company says are delays caused by EU rules that demand work on the factory is tendered across Europe because it has state support.
