Ok, so does that mean there should never be another General election ever?

What about referendum result which decided that Britain joins EU, why was another referendum allowed?

We, the majority, were promised before the vote, by the country's government that the results of the referendum would be implemented.

And implemented they will be. Or shall we, have another referendum on the chance that the result is the opposite only to find that when yet another referendum is held 2 years after that one that the result is to leave again?

      Speak sense, we're leaving!

We don't NEED a 2nd referendum. We already KNOW the will of the people.

No such promise were made - it was ADVISORY, not legally binding referendum.

And even if it was legally binding (which it wasn't) then another referendum can undo previous one.

The vote that the 'will of the people' decided on was based on lies but, despite that, I'm not big on a 2nd ref either to be fair - unless one way or the other won that 2nd ref by a clear margin then nothing good can come of a 2nd ref.

The last GE gave parliament a mandate to come up with a Brexit solution and it is their job to do this. Until parliament get a deal that it can agree to (or crash out if that's what they agree is the right course of action) we should not leave. But if somehow, by some miracle, a deal is struck and parliament vote on this then we should leave on those terms.

We shouldn't have triggered A50 until our MPs had agreed a plan. We did, and more fool them as they're digging themselves deeper into the doodoo.

            Interesting times.

I didn't say that it was legally binding. Only that the Government of the day promised that it would implement the result of the referendum.

If there was another referendum I would vote hard Brexit (if that was an option).

                    How is the promise "off"?

It's obvious that you lack integrity but don't tar everyone with the same brush. Do you genuinely believe that the result of any election would ever be treated the same if whichever party deigned to reject the result of the "Brexit" Referendum? The majority may have only been a small percentage but you're still talking about 17 million people who could be arsed to make a stand and vote for the change. That is a lot of very motivated people.

We're leaving the EU, you'd better believe it, get with the programme or you can always run away.
