Well, unless Arlene switches political parties, I believe it is not possible, so obviously WTFH is just making a facetious comment.

(WTFH is just very unhappy with the political machinations of keeping the minority conservative government in office, via an NI dividend of a few billion quid.)

Well, she's the leader of one of the coalition parties and she has the full support of her party.

But I can't give you a serious reason.

Seriously: JRM should be given the job, let's get this whole thing over and done with.

I seriously believe a circus could not produce a more entertaining performance. At least when you leave the circus tent you know it's all over.

It's been a joke for two years. As I said earlier, Davis spent a total of 4 hours in negotiations over the last year.
He couldn't negotiate his way out of a paper bag that was being held open for him.

But it's what the 52% wanted, and everyone else is not supposed to make any suggestions that might help the lost souls drifting aimlessly into the great void.

Just remember, somebody gave him that job...

Perhaps it suited someone to have a drunken incompetent at the helm of the good ship FU EU!

                Suggestions are good.

The slanging matches and utter vitriol spouted by some are not.

Would that be the former Home Secretary who reduced spend on borders then realised that blaming the EU for the UKHO's failings was a vote winner among the DM brigade.

I was going to suggest a few posters on here that fit the bill, then realise the middle letters were "mpet" not "ntin"

                    1. Brexit negotiations should be cross-party, not just one. This affects the country's future and should not be determined by a bunch of Oxbridge chums.
                    2. Those who campaigned for it should be leading the negotiations. Their salaries, bonuses, pensions, etc should be tied to them getting a successful outcome.
                    3. People running the country should not be allowed to own or have shares in any organisation that are financial investment related.
                    4. A50 was supposed to be triggered the Monday after the vote. It wasn't. We should have been out by now, and the country (both businesses and people) should at least have an idea of where we are going. At what point does this become like a planning application? "Oh, you haven't started yet, you need to re-apply" - whether that means another referendum, or another general election, the intransigence of the Tory government is appalling.
                    5. Uncertainty is bad for the country. The only people it works for are fund managers and hedge betters. See point 3.

I genuinely can't see anything I disagree with there.
