And in other good news for the Sunderland Brexit vanguard...

Prices will go up in the North East because of Brexit, new research has found.

The cost of living could rise by 3% in the region, according policy think-tank IPPR.

And the North will be hit harder than London.

That’s because housing costs, which Londoners spend a higher proportion of their income on, won’t be affected much by Brexit.

However the cost of petrol is set to increase. This hits people outside London harder because they are more likely to drive, while people in the capital are more likely to use public transport.

Prices will rise by 3% in the North East if there is a “hard Brexit” with no new trade deal with the EU, but will rise by 1.5% even if there is a deal.

This is on top of the usual impact of inflation each year, which tends to be matched by wage increases for many workers.
Brexit means Brexit does mean Brexit.

Interesting that the article mentions cost of fuel because that looks like it is going to go up, re. the Brexit dividend: https://news.sky.com/story/fuel-and-...boost-11424789
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

And remember the upward effect on fuel prices coming from the post Brexit weak GBP vs USD.
