I read through this little lot Negotiating Documents last night.

It's amazing how much of UK life has become regulated by those insidious bastards in Brussels!
I can't think of one single thing in my life that has been adversely affected by the EU.
I can think of many things that have been adversely affected by crap UK regulation (or lack of).

But the people have voted so we should leave now - no SM, CU or anything else, just leave.
    Hard Brexit now!

But then descended into the same old rhetoric, assuming that this wasn’t sarcastic...

Every country has regulations. They’re what helps to prevent bleach in your baby formula, or pyjamas incinerating near a 3-bar electric heater, or condoms washing up on your local beach. If the EU (of which the U.K. has been a key member) didn’t make them, then successive U.K. governments would have (and have - the EU isn’t our only source of regulations).

For all it’s faults, the EU is a cooperative. The regulations have been discussed in committees that U.K. MEPs have sat on (and in many cases chaired), have been sanctioned by the U.K. Prime Minister, passed by elected MEPs, and implemented by national elected governments.

If the U.K. is choosing not to be part of a co-operative then that’s its choice, but let’s at least make an effort to understand how it works instead of parroting Daily Mail soundbites.
      Agreed.

I suppose it was half "tongue in cheek" - It still worries me the amount of control that was handed over to the EU powers that be.

Before you carry on arguing with sasguru about whether or not you're still a virgin, might I suggest you read through the following? It may in someway explain the contempt in which he is held by some on this forum.
