    Quite.
And when a country has more thickos than clever people my original observation comes to pass.
Since that observation has been subsequently obscured by the various non sequiturs of the cretinati, let's revisit it:

"The historical problem with populists is that the simple ideas by which they fire up their thicko base eventually get dashed on the rocks of complex reality.
From Mussolini's Fascists and the Nazis to today's rather less ambitious fantasists who dream of national renewal, the final result ends up the same: the ultimate destruction/weakening of the country."
    Hard Brexit now!

Sorry to interject with a post about Italy.

Italy has been politically unstable for a very long while.

        Industry is strong however.

Could be a real headache for the EU. But it probably won't be.

Dissociative identity disorder may be caused by brain injury.

To which of your personalities does this sound familiar?

Every country has more thickos then clever people. How else do governments survive?

Only in the North. But for all the rhetoric generated by this election, it's only a fantasist Brexiter's wet dream that there's any real chance of Italy leaving the Euro at this moment in time.
In the long run I expect there will be some form of two speed Europe.

https://tradingeconomics.com/italy/balance-of-trade so overall the country is doing well. No chance of Italy leaving the Euro for a very long time. If Greece can be kept through 2012/2015.

Have you got any further interesting biological theories? I thought it was quite, er, "radical" your idea that humans were composed of multiple species.

It's Italy's debt pile that's the problem - 130% of GDP is a bit ouch.
