No brexit deal - foodprices will soar

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...-a8344351.html

I'm sure it's a small price to pay for a blue passport (that most brexiteers will never use) and those unemployed brexit voters

Fruit and vegetables, in particular, could become more expensive, with 40 per cent of vegetables and 37 per cent of fruit sold in the UK coming from the EU, the peers said.
Brexiteers don't eat much fresh food and they can make up for any shortages there by munching through the Brexit surplus gammon mountain and mince lake.

do you live in a world where everything will stay the same price or cost less?

can you explain how that works economically and how sustainable it it?

I live in a world where Brexit creates an upward pressure on food prices, and some cretin comes along and asks logically disjointed questions.

The article is typical independent trash.

Of course if 30% of your food is from the EU and you are not part of their club you will be hit by tariffs that make the food more expensive.

But you can now also source food from the rest of the world without the same tariffs that the EU places on imports applying.
