Agreed. However I believed responses might well contain the Brexit word. And Brexit would affect the UK view on this.

If a mod wants to move it to general I would understand.

Though I would not be pleased if I then got a ban for bringing the Brexit word into general.....

But in that article there was a line about the EU not meddling in the internal affairs of a country.

So should the EU be able to overrule a countries government or not?

Although I hate the EU, they did seem to be attempting to save Poland from a dictatorship.

I wish the EU had supported Catalonia.....

"The disciplinary measures, called Article 7, could lead to the suspension of Poland's voting rights at EU summits, but Hungary has said it would block such a move, that requires the approval of all member states."

Fair play to ze Germans. Couldn't take Europe by force (on either occasion) so are doing it by red tape.
