          And what the majority of Brexiters don't know is that Guadeloupe and Martinique are actually part of the EU (with the same status as the Channel Islands)

            Guadeloupe is a part of France whereas none of the Channel Islands is part of the UK. Their relationships with the EU are accordingly different.

                I know that, I never said they were. I think if you read my reply I stated they had the same status. Stop prentending to have the same mindset as a Daily Mail reader...

                    Hang on, last time I looked the Channel Islands were neither part of the UK nor in the EU.

                    Guadeloupe has the same status as any other French department, is firmly in the EU & has adopted the Euro.
