    The fact you can inherit someone else's inheritance tax allowance is worth noting. As is the fact that the amount of tax relief you inherit is calculated in today's terms. IIRC you can inherit IT relief only from your spouse and parent.

      Spouse only, not parents, in terms of the individual exemption £325k.

      However actual transfers to spouse are exempt. So 2 x £325k leaves a joint £650k to be passed tax free to kids or family.
