What is my SIC code for my annual return?

Hi, I have been contracting through my own limited company now for a year and need to file my annual return however they are asking for an SIC code. I work as a contractor for Lloyds TSB doing back office admin work dealing with PPI complaints and their payments.

Does anyone have any idea what code I should use for my company? Many thanks.

SIC = Standard Industry Code. Choose the one most appropriate from the list:

    SIC 2007

Hi James, thanks for replying. I'm actually looking for the specific 5 digit code I should use. I have the list however I do not know which one to use to classify the company. Thanks

I did a quick search on companies with PPI in their names and some use '66290 - Other activities auxiliary to insurance and pension funding'. It doesn't seem as though there are any more appropriate than that on the list.

          I hope this helps.

Brilliant, thanks! I did see this code but I didn't know if it was too vague. I'll give it a go and hopefully it will be fine.

That should be fine. There really isn't a "correct" answer, you just choose the code that best represents your core activities.
