Budget Linky here --> http://cdn.hm-treasury.gov.uk/budget2013_complete.pdf2.192 IR35 – As announced at Autumn Statement 2012, the Government will make a small amendment to the existing IR35 provisions to equalise the tax and NICs treatment of office holders, and put beyond doubt that the legislation applies to office holders for tax purposes. (Finance Bill 2013) -
This is unlikely to affect most contractors, as it applies to freelancers etc in senior positions such as directors etc.
This came from the revelation that the boss of the Student Loans Company was using a limited company to keep his tax low!Comment
