Accountant choice...

Ideally you want someone with a good reputation and therefore word of mouth is key. A specialist contractor accountant would be ideal, but one with the resources / partner contact to be able to deal with any queries you may have. Experience is clearly also important.

The online system is the simplest way to monitor and control your finances at the click of a button.

If you are still unsure - a simple phone conversation to determine level of knowledge and rapport may swing it.

as above really. speak to a few and see what level of knowledge the people you speak to have. most of them railroaded me when i went through the exact process you're going through. I spoke to about 20 to get myself up to speed on the terminology and levels of service to get the minimal input option i was looking for. I went for MyFD in the end.
