    Secondary employment

Hi, if i am employed over weekends in a second job;or work elsewhere e.g., cafe, gas station when i am on annual leave from my current employer, or in the evenings after work am i violating any HMRC rules? My contract with the current employer does not say anything about secondary employment...

Are you a contractor or an employee? If your a contractor then you're not employed by your client but either a) yourself, b) a company you most likely control or c) an umbrella company in which case you can go fill your boots.

If you're employed under PAYE, double check your contract. Sometimes there's a requirement on you to tell your full time employer that you're doing outside work, but that's just so they know about it. You should also know their Payroll department may kick in and change your tax code to BR.
