        Podgy,

        1) It's your company and your responsibility. Do what you want.

        2) You may be right. It's HMIT you will be arguing with.

        3) You probably won't get caught even if wrong.

        4) The worst that can happen is you start with an ahole the size of a nickel and end with one the size of a silver dollar. It's only 95 cents anyway.

            I am wondering if there is a dodgy scheme in here. Every month, your 'employer' doesn't pay you and you start legal proceedings. They settle out of court and you don't pay tax on it.

            I am sure we can find a compliant QC.

              Yeah, go for it. Better still pay a QC a fortune to look at it and nod a lot then sell it to others as a "100% ContractorUK approved" tax avoidance scheme.
