Whitehouse have follow ups for attendees and non attendees all in hand so best leave alone for now. If you want to ask specifically about your MP please contact Carl.Thomson at whitehouseconsulting.co.uk

Again, the question of morality crops up. I've just analysed my income and expenditure as I need to make some reductions on my expenditure because my income (contract rate) keeps going down (unlike the public sector):
                  • My mortgage is one where I need to seek advice from a Mortgage Broker in order to to reduce expenditure.
                  • My gas and electricity bill is quite high so I need to go to a comparison website in order to find a deal.
                  • My tax bill is large so I need to talk to a tax consultant about how to reduce expenditure.

Is tax really that different to all my other outgoings? Do I need to pay the worst case in order to support the government spending and help, amongst other things, people on benefits? Perhaps, I shouldn't cut down on my Starbucks spending else the people who work there will be out of a job!

makes you wonder where it will end, next thing will be that any disposable income saved rather than given over to the taxman is immoral and not in the best interests of the country. Slow steady slip towards communism!

This may make me unpopular, but taxes do, at least partly, go towards many of those things that make us a functioning society. I have problems with the implementers and use of the money I pay in taxes but not the concept of taxation as being different from commercial agreements. Wihtout something of this sort life is "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short."
