DR has said all he needs to say on this subject.

As a moderator I'm watching this aspect of the thread closely and I will pull anything I consider not appropriate.

Firstly, many thanks - as always - for this really important info, however what has prompted you to post it now? Has something triggered the posting, or has it only just come into your possession?

Are you at liberty to say? I would understand if you'd rather not say.

That is a fair question which deserves an answer.

I (NTRT) have known about this for several weeks.

I did think of posting something a couple of weeks ago when the subject cropped up but it didn't feel right. Read these posts and you will understand why.

I don't want to sensationalise this but I think people should know what BN66 has cost some families.

Thanks for the info DR. I apologise for my totally inappropriate comment earlier in the thread and my condolences go out to the family, this is a truly shocking revelation.

You weren't to know, so don't beat yourself up about it.

At the end of the day, the blame lies with HMRC.

Not that they will care though. Just look at what one of their number said in his witness statement to the High Court.

I can vouch for the ultimate strain upon which BN66 has placed on some people!! I know someone “on the brink” but thankfully they opened up to their partner and they're now seeking help!!

In this case the person involved wasn’t even a scheme user, but their spouse was!! Just goes to show how this vial legislation results in widespread pressure by association!!

Personally I find the biggest issue is having only an overly moderated forum to discuss this. Very stressful.

I think by launching the Judicial Review, Montpelier may well have saved lives.

It gave people hope and something to cling on to in those early dark days.

I do wonder if there was a HMRC most wanted list, WG must have been at the top of that for some time, why are they singling out Montpelier for this very bitter war (of which we were one of the skirmishes)
