I can see what you are doing but this purchase seems to be for the sake of it rather than as a sensible investment with clear purpose
SSD is for my mac book pro.

      My account says:
My experience is that you get separate invoices from amazon. The invoice must be a VAT invoice showing a valid VAT number for the whole value. This can not be spread across multiple suppliers with multiple VAT numbers

Which is a company asset? It better be if you're going to start upgrading it using company money.

It's fine as long as you get a single invoice for £2000+

Yep, I'm with your accountant on this - I got mine all on a single invoice.

I bought MBP+IPad2 last year under FRS from Apple. But apple is so over priced, especially for upgrades..

                From Apple, as it happens.

I intend upgrading my MBP with Crucial, but I accept that I won't get the VAT back on it. (I'm actually holding off this purchase until I review my FRS next month, I may consider going back to the usual VAT if I think I'm losing money on it).

I did some obvious calculations to see at which point is it worth going over 2k to get the VAT back and it's obviously ca 1600 mark.
In the end I got a 13" MBP for 800 squids + 150 for an SSD and I'm using that for over a year now.

SO don't spend money just to spend it! Especially if you already have one Apple laptop FFS...

No, I'm just getting the Crucial SSD, I've already got the MBP.
