Isn't the filing deadline also 07 Feb 2012 for online returns? (as one might expect the accountant is doing)

As a tip, when you are logged in online there is an option to set-up a Direct Debit to pay your VAT. Its worthwhile doing to save yourself a small amount of admin having to remember to make the payment yourself.
And with DD they take 6 weeks to take the money. My 30th Nov return has just been taken day before yesterday.

I would much prefer they took it as soon as the return was filed as I hate having that extra x000 of their money in my account.

I have set up a DD for mine, much easier, I forget about the cash in the account, I just take my salary and dividends, so anything left in is unused profit and taxes not yet paid.

You can set up for an email reminder to be sent each quarter if you are set up for online filing.

I don't like the new system. Personally I liked it when the form came through followed up with a horrible letter a month later when you forgot it. It's up to me now to make sure I do it now.
