I use Nixon Williams, they are at £75 per month and they will form a company for you free of charge.

Contractor Accountant specialists UK | Accountancy Service for contractors | Accountancy Services UK | Take Home Pay Calculator UK.

Very happy with them, check them out.
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero

NW also get fairly good feedback on CUK, sounds worth checking out if they do company formation for free. Make sure to check any other costs - like if you want to use your account as your registered business address (some accountants charge for this, others don't).

I emailed them already since I plan on using them when I get my first contract, and they said they charge £5pm to use them as the registered address. I am definitely going with them since their charges seem reasonable and they do setup for free

I moved from Clearsky to InTouch mainly based on costs. I didn't feel I was using my accountant enough to justify the amount, after all I'm just a one man band so quite a simple setup.

The InTouch online portal is so easy to use and probably takes me 10 mins a month to update. They have always responsed swiftly to any question I have so can't recommend them highly enough.

I got that £5 charge waived, as a deal for paying the yearly fee upfront. The renewal of the service is next month, so dont know if am going to get the same deal again. But otherwise definitely recommend them. They have always come back with helpful answers within 24 hours, most often the same day.

So the £5pcm effectively wipes out the free company formation in year 1. I find that irritating - just include it for free if it is so cheap!
