Paying Others Through Your Limited Company?

Does anyone know where I can get information regarding paying others through a limited company or I suppose setting up an Umbrella company for use within the Construction Industry? Not on a large scale but for the purpose of paying a max of 50 workers at any one time, on their CIS Cards, whilst contracting to a particular company or a number of companies?

Do you mean paying salary to others or paying others' invoices?

      Thanks for replying.

Invoices I suppose because all would be self-employed on a temporary short-term basis.

Cis is a bit of a nightmare. Oddly the IR helpline are very good with this sort of general thing. So is their website.
