VAT Letter

I came home today to recieve a letter from HMRC about the VAT amnesty that they are doing currently, written to my company secretary asking if I wanted to join?

When I look online, it says these went out to 40,000 comapnies they believe have a turnover over £73k and not registered for VAT. I do turnover over £73k but I have been registered for VAT since day 1 and have always paid the correct amount on time (thanks to my accountant!)

Anyone else got one? The HMRC number is only available Mon-Fri 8-4pm.

Nope.

Maybe an error particularly if you have a similar company name to someone else.

I suggest you phone them when open and have a quick word.
