    Tax when working in Dubai

I have been offered a 3 month contract in Dubai and the benefit of tax free is being sold to me...but if I come back to the Uk in 3 months time as planned and I bring my earnings with me, don't I just get taxed as if I was working in the Uk?

If this is the case, then what is the benefit of tax free on short-term contracts?

Check, or have your accountants check the double taxation agreement between the UK and Dubai (if any). However if you are tax resident in the UK (and you probably will be even though physically resident in Dubai) then you will usually be charge UK taxes on your worldwide income.

Ok, this bit is based on property income buy may help you consider some of the issues: http://www.getyourmoneyworking.com/2...040908002.html

    And heres another one:

There is a chance you may be able to find an offshore solution which works, but I wouldn't be too optimistic. Going to Dubai tomorrow and not returning to the UK (except for short visits) until April 6 07 might ease things somewhat though.
