Trading Disclosures - Displaying Company Name at Register Office.

Well, I've finaly gotten around to it. Company name registration submitted to Company House, so let the fun commence.

While researching company legislation, I came across the below:

The Companies (Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2008

    Legibility of displays and disclosures

3.1 A company shall display its registered name at:
    a) its registered office.
    b) any inspection place.

So, as I've used my home address as my co's registered office; should I nail a sign to my front door?

No, just because you have to "display" it doesn't mean it has to be visible.

Loads of people I know have companies.

In fact there are a lot of people in my area who have limited companies.

I don't see many visible signs on the properties here unless they are commercial property.

So they phone up and say they want to visit you at your registered office and you just say, nah, that won't be convenient, but you can make an appointment to meet at my account's offices and they will be on hand to answer any questions you have.
