Company annual report - Companies House Web Filing

Hi, I've done annual report on Companies House Web Filing page. It lookes rather simple. I only filled in some company and shareholding information and it's done. There is no where to file PnL / balance sheet. Do I need to file them or not?

    Thanks

The annual return, with details of director, shareholders etc, is separate from the annual accounts. The two documents are file separately, your accountant should prepare the accounts and they can then be filed at Companies House.
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." Cicero

Companies House really should look at renaming the annual return to avoid confusion such as this - it threw me when I started contracting too.

Something along the lines of Annual company register update perhaps?

And don't forget you need to do the accounts and director and shareholder details all over again (but in a slightly different format) for those nice people at HMRC.

        It really is beyond insanity.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

I understand that HMRC and Companies House integrate accounts filing service already, right?

How about the annual £15 waste of money? Hard to believe you have to pay to say no changes.

              It’s gone down to £14 now, a whole £1 saving - generous aren't they!
