I work out my % based on what I invoice. I can't give an exact figure in terms of % retention as it depends how much I pay into my SIPP, how much dividend I declare, whether or not I put a SIPP into drawdown that year, how many miles I claim for etc... But it is definately not worth my time even considering a tax avoidance scheme. The difference would be pretty marginal for taking a (IMO) huge risk. I find the discussions very interesting, however.

Which is why I am genuinely puzzled by the continued popularity of the schemes. Use of them appear to have increased significantly in the 3 years since BN66 which seems counterintuitive.

The risks are far greater today than a few years ago and yet more people are using them.

Prozak - Thanks for being spot on intuition.

I like to think I'm not gullible and rest assured I nor anyone l speak to will be putting any money with anyone who isn't open and honest about who they are or where they are...
This afternoon I had someone follow up on 24 March invite by Vallah about Alan Jones being next to a place called C'est la Vie - Indeed it is a bar. On the left hand side I'm told there are two businesses 1) Orchard Recruitment - the report says its just a local job agency and 2) Cube Treasury Services Limited - CUBE - Treasury Services
On the other side of the bar there is a business called Bridgewaters - Welcome to My contact phoned them but they didn't know anyone with the name Alan Jones.
