    Emergency Contact/Next of Kin

Hmm HR have sent me an employee's form to fill in regarding emergency contact details.
How applicable is this to a contractor outside IR35? Should I avoid?

I don't think it will effect IR35 - but it might be nice to have in place if you fall off a ladder and the company need to call your wife/husband/partner to let them know.

None whatsoever. ClientCo has a duty of well-being to you as a sub-contractor working on their premises. It is a simple H&S matter.

Incidentally, on day one of every contract I email all my contact details and all my wife's contact details to my agent and my line manager or day-to-day contact at ClientCo and ask them to keep them safe. It's silly not to, really.

I just deleted the bit at the top that said 'employee'.
