    vehicle / car leasing

    Hi folks,
I have had a bit of a dig around but haven't found any definitive info on car leasing. We've got two cars one is a personally leased car which I don't use for daily commute as I'd exceed the mileage too quickly. So I use the "Flying Dustbin" instead...
As you can imagine this is not doing much for my street cred, so am thinking of a slight upgrade. Two options really:

    1. Short term leasing (to coincide with contract length, ie. 3 monthly or whatever)
    2. Director's loan (5K) and buy a secondhand motor.

I'm doing around 1600 miles a month, so which do you think would be a better option? Methinks option 2???

    cheers

Leasing a car and doing that kind of miles per month will make it very expensive. A short term lease will be even more expensive.

Not sure about the director's loan route but yes, I'd buy a decent used car for the commute. Should be able to pick up a quality E46 3 Series 3.0L diesel for that money too.
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!
