Contracting in Netherlands

I've been offered a contract in the Netherlands. Wondering if anyone can tap into their grey matter & make useful recommendations on company setup, taxation position, finding accomodation, etc.

Been contracting in the UK for several years & thought I'd try to grab some culture while it was on offer.

For how long is your contract?
For a 3 month contract you fall under UK tax law and can do things the way you are used to. But check with your accountant or another pro to make sure. That does mean that your Dutch contract could either be IR35 friendly or not.

You can use a UK Ltd to work in The Netherlands even if you do fall under Dutch tax law, might be easier if you have your insurances etc arranged, as long as they cover you abroad. If you pay Dutch taxes, remember that you are not paying NI contributions and don't build UK pension rights. You can pay NI voluntary, i think. You might also check your health insurance for a longer stay; but if you pay NI voluntary you might be covered (just a thought, dunno)

I used to work through a "eenmanszaak", which is a one-persons-company, and earnings were taxed as personal income. You pay around 40% taxes that way. Go for the UK taxes if you can

Is your contract in Amsterdam?
It's not easy to find accomodation in A'dam; should be possible with a bit of luck.
