    That really gets my goat that some women will use what one could call "feminine wiles" to get their own way in a job.

    It really does not make it any easier for those of us who want to carve a valid career.

    These are the types of women you see in the newspapers suing large scale corporations for "sexual harassment", dear god! when I read the cr@p that they "supposedly went through, it is nothing compared to some of the childish behaviour I have had to put up with (and ignore) in some of the cleintcos I worked at.

            There are two things to think about in this case
            1. whether there is likely to be any claim against you, or yourco, as a result of the complaint
            2. whether you have any protection from being dismissed/contract terminated.

            there some good news, and some bad news.

            the good news first: its very unlikely that there would be a claim against you, even if the complainant won their case. Responsibility for adherence to harrassment and other employment laws rest with the employer (the LA) not the manager. If you think about it - when there is a harrassment case, its the employer who pays, not the offending manager. You shouldn't need insurance (though as another poster said, you couldn't get it for an event that has happened already anyway). The LA would only be able to claim against you if your behaviour was grossly inappropriate, and even then it would have a tough time.

            the bad news second: as usual with contracting, you have pretty much no rights to protect you from simply having your contract terminated. The LA doesn't need an excuse, and doesn't need to prove that you did or did not do anything wrong. If its convenient for them, then they could drop you.

            I would keep my head down, and brush up my CV if I were you.... good luck
