What an arrogant prik this harnett is. He's been forced to make a grovelling apology after his exceedingly arrogant remark that he didnt need to apologise!

BBC News - Revenue's Hartnett apologises over unexpected tax bills

Thing is, everyone can see this 'apology' for what its worth. And that's **** all because he first came out and said he didnt need to and second, he's only done it because his political masters have told him too.

Clearly, the arrogant prik thought he could do what the **** he pleases. Im glad to say he's been totally humiliated.

Its just a shame he isnt being forced to resign so the question is, why isnt he?

People working at hmrc, you are working for a real unt.

Oh and dave if you are reading **** off!
I couldn't give two fornicators! Yes, really!

I suspect Lord Acton can supply the answer to that one:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

During the Labour years our "Dave" gathered more power than ever. He now lords of the government of the day and is determined to ensure that all of the realm know who is in charge.

Would it surprise you if he attempted to walk on water next?

"Dave", meet King Canute - you have much to learn....

Geez that appology must have hurt

He must have been put under pressure to appologise. After all, someone had to - and there was no way ministers were going to appologise for his gaffe.

Anyone fancy inviting him to dinner? He seems to like his freebies.

Danny Alexander (Chief Secretary to the Treasury) on Sky News just now was asked four times if Hartnett's job was safe - and he dodged the question each time. This quote at the end of the interview...

Adam Boulton "Last chance, do you have full confidence in Mr Harnett continuing in his job"

DA : "I've got full confident in HMRC's ability to ensure that..."

Even if he doesn't get the sack, he's surely gonna feel a lot of pressure over the coming days/weeks etc.

                shame they arent selling tickets!!!

The Mail on Sunday understands that Mr Hartnett came under huge pressure from Mr Osborne and his Exchequer Secretary David Gauke.

Tomorrow morning, Mr Gauke will give Mr Hartnett a dressing-down at the Treasury headquarters.

had left Chancellor George Osborne 'incandescent with anger'

In his defence , he was exactly what his previous political masters wanted him to be - an arrogant, unappologetic ~@&*% - so it's hardly surprising that he was incapable of recognising the shift in the landscape.
