When you get the letter you will see that a lot of work has gone into it.

Montpelier have to tread a very fine line with what they can tell us, knowing full well that there is every likelihood the letter could fall into the wrong hands.

HMRC are at an advantage in this respect because they don't have to divulge anything to anyone.

We have to accept that we can't be told everything otherwise HMRC might discover every single step in advance.

It would only take one rotten apple among the 2500 of us...

Politicians are wonderfull people, as long as they stay away from things they don't understand, like working for a living!

It's a real coat on a real donkey. He's called Dilbert and I can see him out of the window from where I'm currently sitting.

It was written in chalk so I could wipe it off, which is why it's quite faint.

I don't think you should be discussing what you are going to do next on this site or any other site. HMRC might sequestrate Dilbert.

Good luck to them. The little bugger had the Vet flat on his back when he tried to give him a booster jab a couple of weeks.

And as for loading him onto a lorry, you don't even want to go there!

Somewhat OT but I used to have a few beach donks over winter. Cantankerous gits the lot of them. Thankfully I never had to load them or I'd just have converted them to salami. However, easiest way I ever found of loading a particularly awkward equine (assuming the usual feed bucket and patience hasn't worked) was:-

Lunge rope on right hand side of vehicle (quite high). Lunge rope behind rear knees of animal, second end of lunge rope through eye - quite high on LHS. Gently and slowly pull on rope so it puts light pressure behind knees, light pressure then on lead rein attached to head collar and up they go. You never know it might work for you (though if the bugger tries to jump and lands on you don't blame me).
