Started a new contract several weeks ago, was told the project that I and one other were employed to work on had been cancelled. Anyway they gave us a few days work with some minor software installs on some test boxes.
We then did nothing for 2 weeks although we continuously asked daily, Then received a call from the agent saying they wanted me off-site. They didn't give reason really so I complied.
The client has invoked a special clause for immediate contract termination, which I assume if for gross misconduct. However they have cited the reason as I installed some software not in the correct path. YUP, that's it, they even put it in writing. They have forgotten that I use to work for Microsoft as a technical expert to name a few accolades in my 13 year career with the technology. (Just an excuse not to pay us.)
Now the agent just agree's with them and says that's good enough reason, of course they don't even understand. I'm at least owed 1 months notice. Any ideas how I can fight this?
