      So.........

If the judge decides it best to bankrupt hundreds of familes rather than rule against HMRC's mistakes:

      - Will the debt become immediately payable? (i.e. can they send the bayliffs round to confiscate our house and childrens food)

        Thursday 28 January, 2010
        At half past 9

        FOR JUDGMENT

OMG!!! Who's thinking of leaving these shores if the unthinkable happens, and those b*stards win?
Lord Clyde in 1929: ‘No man is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores. The Revenue is not slow to take every advantage which is open to it under the taxing statutes for the purpose of depleting the taxpayer’s pocket. And the taxpayer is entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Revenue.’

If they win, I'll specifically target & take a contract working for them and charge them double-rate / lots of fake overtime - get them to pay my tax bill

Sadly it's too short notice for me to make it as I live a long way from London.

As well posting the result, I will also update the front page so it doesn't get lost in an avalanche of replies.

Got butterflies. I know the wife won't sleep tonight. Good thing its Orange Wednesday. I will go watch some senseless violence to distract me.

Wish I could be there tomorrow but am a bit far away, up here in the North West.

Who is going and who can post on the forum for us? Someone with a PDA/Smartphone hopefully.
              Regards

                The Eve of Battle Speech

We few, we happy few, we band of Brothers. It has been a long and dark road which we have all gone down. It has been fraught with many nightmares, uncertainties and soul searching. We came together via this Forum as a single voice to proclaim we will not go quitely into the night, we will not just lie down even when we felt at our most weak and vunerable, we continued down this road. Our coming together here, in this place has demonstrated how the collective will can motivate, to quash fears, provide support and seek Justice.

The Road to Judicial Review will come to an end tomorrow. One way or the other, it was always worth travelling down. We have come out of the darkness and have arrived into the light of a new direction. Depending on tomorrow, we will know which path to take next.

I for one hope it is one where retrospection not just here, but in all law gets re-examined and those who seek to apply it stand back for a while and consider how much damage it has caused to people.

So now, we wait. Even 8 long years will seem short compared to the night ahead. But tomorrow it will be a new dawn and I pray that the Judge rules for us. Tomorrow we will know.

Keep the Faith. For all of us, for DR, for Brillo and all those who have worked tirelessly to get us to where we are today.

A few of us have PDAs, so I'm sure one of us will post as soon as we know.
